Filmmakers such as Olivier Assayas, Edward Berger, Arnaud Desplechin, Claire Denis, Lucile Hadzihalilovic, Agnieszka Holland, Richard Linklater, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Jafar Panahi, Raoul Peck, Walter Salles, Joachim Trier and Rebecca Zlotowski will present their films to the public and the media
The director J.A. Bayona will preside over the Official Jury made up of the directors Laura Carreira and Gia Coppola, the actress Zhou Dongyu, the actress and singer Lali Espósito, the actor Mark Strong and the producer Anne-Dominique Toussaint
Klasikoak to rescue films by Christian-Jaque, Jorge Fons, Jomí García Ascot, Antonio Giménez-Rico, Stanley Kubrick, Yoshimitsu Morita and Manoel de Oliveira
The section will open with José Luis Borau’s ‘Furtivos’, and will be completed by the four medium-length films in the Basque language directed by Bakedano, Elorriaga, Lertxundi and Ungría
Alfred Hitchcock’s Notorious (1946) will open the season of fourteen classic films curated by the Basque Film Archive and the Festival to be screened in Vitoria, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Pamplona and Saint-Jean-de-Luz in October
