You can find information on the Festival’s website, in the SSIFF App, in My Festival, the restricted area of the website and in the App Agenda SSIFF, which is exclusively for accredited press and will be activated before the start of the festival.

My Festival is a restricted area that can be accessed with a username and password and where you can find exclusive content related to the edition.
If you are accredited press, in My Festival you will find all the information related to your stay at the San Sebastian Festival: your accreditation form, accesses it allows guide to spaces and services, the virtual locker, as well as the Who and Where and the interview request form for film delegations without press agents and personalities, which is activated on 11 September.
If you are not accredited press, you can register at My Festival as press and access the Virtual Pressbox.
 

In open you will find the list of press agents, updated as the films are announced and their representatives inform about who is handling the press, the programme, the schedule of photo calls and press conferences, the daily agenda of activities and the Festival's digital catalogue, as well as downloadable materials from the edition.

First of all, you will have had to send the coverage of the previous edition. To apply for accreditation by a different media outlet from the one you were accredited by last year, please consult the requirements for accreditation renewal or the requirements for new applications if the media outlet you wish to be accredited by has never covered the Festival.

The cost is 60 euros.

You can pay online by credit card or by Paypal through My Festival, following the steps of the payment gateway that you will find in one of the tabs of the form.
If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please contact the Press Department for further information.
Accreditations can't be paid for at the documentation collection desk. Payment must be made in advance.
 

Yes, but only if you are the person who handled those accreditations. If you have any questions, please contact the press department at acreditacionesprensa@sansebastianfestival.com.

If you wish to receive an invoice, you must tick this option and fill in the billing details in the fields located in the payment tab of the accreditation form.
Payment for the accreditation must be made in the My Festival area of the user associated with its management. If you are handling mor than one accreditation, you can make as many individual or collective payments as you wish, each time providing the billing details corresponding to that payment. Each invoice may correspond to only one payment for the same amount (either individually or jointly).
Initially, you will receive simplified invoices for these payments, and later you will be able to find and download all the full invoices corresponding to the accreditations handled by this user in My Festival.
 

To access the contents of My Festival, you must be registered. If you are not yet registered, click on My Festival on the website and register.
If you are already registered, you can access My Festival with your username and password, whether you are an accredited member of the press or a journalist in need of promotional material about the Festival and the films presented. The system allows you to generate a new password if you have forgotten it.
 

A high-resolution photograph for every film, whose participation in the Festival has been announced is published; it will be openly available in the Press/Download area of the website. The publicity materials of the announced films, uploaded so far by their representatives, can be accessed logging in My Festival > Virtual Pressbox, from where they can be downloaded. You will also find summaries of the Festival's galas.

You can find the list of press agents in the press section of our website as the films are announced. If a film does not have a press agent, the Festival's Interview Service will manage the requests for your delegation. The Service, which can be accessed through My Festival, which will be activated on September 11 and is exclusively for accredited press. It also manages interviews with members of the juries and other personalities.

Check your spam folder as you are probably getting spam. Add our email address to your address book so that it doesn't happen again.
Also make sure that you fill in the authorisation on your form so that you can receive communications from the Festival.

The deadline for submitting accreditation requests is September 1. Requests made after that date will be dealt with according to time and availability.

Press accreditations are only issued to people designated by a media outlet (print, online media outlets, television and radio stations, press agencies) to cover the Festival. Persons working in other posts in media can contact the Festival’s Guest Management or the Public Relations or Film departments if they are publicists or representatives of one of the films in the different sections.

We have a press accreditation for reporters and producers and another for photographers and camera operators. The accreditation is personal and non-transferrable and is valid for the whole Festival.

• The editor and producer accreditation gives access to the press conferences, and to other information events taking place during the Festival. As a spectator it gives access to press screenings, as well as to screenings of the rest of the programme after booking a ticket, depending on availability.
• The graphic reporter accreditation, intended for photographers and camera operators, gives access to photo calls, press conferences and other information events, as well as to the presentations of the films delegations before the screenings; it also gives access to the area reserved for them on the red carpets of the different Festival venues, and at the guest entrance to the María Cristina Hotel.

It enables access to the professional spaces of the Kursaal Centre, Victoria Eugenia Theatre, Tabakalera, and to film screenings. It does not give access to the activities and events organised by the Festival's Industry Department unless it is specified in the daily agenda that they are open to accredited press.
 

The number of accreditations per media outlet and the type of accreditation (levels of access and priorities) will be granted depending on the work to be carried out (critic, editor, producer, photographer, camera operator), on the frequency of the media outlet, on its importance (circulation, audience, number of unique visitors per month and average number of pages visited per month, etc.), on whether or not it specialises in cinema and on the media coverage it plans to give the San Sebastian Festival.

Yes, we do not have accreditations by the day.

If you want to attend and cover the Festival for the first time, the person in charge, director or editor-in-chief of your media outlet must send an email with a request to the head of the corresponding press section (national or foreign) explaining the kind of coverage you will make of the Festival. You must enclose documentation to accredit your activity and prove that you belong to the media outlet. Please consult the Requirements and documentation section for details of the information you will have to send depending on the type of media outlet for which you will cover the Festival.

Freelance editors and photographers wishing to be accredited must be committed to publishing their coverage of the Festival in a media outlet. To this end, they must attach an email request from the director or editor-in-chief of the media outlet expressing the intention to publish their work, the planned coverage or the work plan to be carried out.
Accreditation will not be granted without a guarantee of publication.
 

To be able to obtain an accreditation, it is mandatory for audio-visual production companies to have received a mandate from a media outlet (TV station, radio station, websites). Accreditation will not be granted to the production company without a guarantee that their programme or report will be broadcast.

In this case, you can also send the group application, only indicating the number of accreditations you require, and detailing the functions to be developed by each one.

Yes, you can submit an accreditation application for yourself, for a third party or for a group of people. In this case, in your email you must indicate each of their names and their functions. Remember that, from then on, if the application is accepted, you will appear in our programme as the group contact for the purposes of coordinating the management of their accreditations.

If you are representing various media outlets, on the form we ask you to give the details of each one. At the top you must always indicate the main media outlet for which you have requested the accreditation.

No. If you have several functions, you must choose your most representative profile; the Press Department does not issue double accreditations.

Yes, accreditations are not automatically renewed. If you wish to attend a new edition of the San Sebastian Festival, the director or editor-in-chief of your media outlet must send an email with a request to the corresponding head of press (national or foreign), explaining the coverage you will make of the Festival.

Remember that renewals are not automatic. They have to be applied for. The form will not be visible until you have applied for renewal, we have accepted it and we have sent you the form to fill it in.
In case your accreditation is being handled by someone else, your form will not be visible in your private area My Festival as only the persons who handle the forms can access them.
It may also happen that you try to log in with an email address that is not in our system and is not the one we have associated to your form. Please make sure you enter the correct address.
 

If your application has been accepted, you will receive an email from July 1 with instructions of how to access and complete the accreditation form on the website. You must fill in the form in full and return it to us by 1 September.
If your application has not been accepted, we will contact you to let you know.
 

You may have two My Festival accounts, please check that you are logging in with the same email to which we sent you the form.
It is also possible that someone else is handling your accreditation request on your behalf, in which case you will not find the form in your account of My Festival.
 

Once you have completed your form and clicked on submit, you will receive an email with the following message, which will also appear on the screen: "The form has been correctly submitted; we will process the accreditation with the information provided". If you receive this message, you don't have to do anything else as it means that the process for issuing your accreditation has been correctly concluded and that you can collect your accreditation in the Kursaal from September 18.
You will also receive an email from 20 August onwards with details of when information about your accreditation, press services and the event will be made available to accredited press, such as when the programme and press conferences will be published, when the Who and Where will be published, when the interview service will be activated and when ticket booking information will be sent.
 

Check that your form shows as "submitted". If you have not completed all of the required fields, it will remain in "draft" mode even if you click on submit, meaning that we will be unable to process your accreditation.
If your form shows as submitted but you haven't received the message, you will probably find it in your spam mail. Once you have found it, add us to your list of contacts so that future communications will go directly to your inbox.
 

You can collect your accreditation from Wednesday, 18 September at the accreditation desk in the Kursaal, which will be open throughout the festival from 8:00 to 20:00 except on the last day, 28 September, when it will close 14:00.
