A great city, in an indeterminate past. A totalitarian regime exercises power. The borders are closed. The economic recession prevails. Vincent, a frustrated young man, very introverted, lives alone with his mother, a bitter and suffocating old woman. He is crazy about his upstairs neighbor, Alma, to whom he has never spoken. Alma wants to leave the country, to no avail. One day at the check-point where Vincent works and where Alma goes waiting for her unlikely papers, an elegant man, probably from the regime, drops his wallet. Vincent picks it up and Alma watches him. That wallet contains a letter that would allow Alma to pass to the other side ...
