Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Hrönn Kristinsdóttir (Reykjavik) studied Theatre, Literature, Journalism and Cinema in Iceland, Berlin and Los Angeles.
She has been an active member of the Icelandic and international film industry since 1997, having produced over 20 films. She was one of the founding members of WIFT Iceland (Women in Film and Television) and sat on the board of the Association of Icelandic Producers from 2007-2012, a position to which she returned in 2024. She runs the Icelandic production company S101 with producer Sara Nassim and lives in Reykjavik with her partner, director Valdimar Jóhannsson.
Her films have received numerous national and international awards. Her latest feature film Lamb by Valdimar Jóhannsson, received the Prize of Originality in Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2021, amongst other awards. Her latest documentary, Mannvirki by Gustav Geir Bollason, was nominated for the Tiger Award at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2023.
Apart from producing, Hrönn has been the artistic director of Stockfish Film Festival since 2022.
