Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).

Films can now be submitted for pre-selection to participate in the 69th edition of the San Sebastian Festival for all of the sections making up the programme, with the exception of WIP Latam, WIP Europaand Nest, which will have their own specific calls for submissions in June. Films for these sections should therefore NOT be submitted at the present time.
As last years, throughout the registration form it will be asked for an indication of the gender of some of the people who participate in the film in different positions: direction, production, screenplay, editing, cinematography and music.
Feature films submitted for pre-selection will be accepted until 15 June 2021.
