Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Elsa Rosengren (Gothenburg, Sweden. 1989) started making films while attending Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, USA. To fund her studies she worked at sea for about a year before starting her education. She later moved to Berlin, following her acceptance for the film directing programme at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB). Her graduation film I Want To Return Return Return was selected for Nest at San Sebastian 2020, won 3rd prize ex-aequo at the Cannes Cinéfondation 2020, received the Grand Jury Prize at the Premiers Plans Festival D’Angers 2021 and shared the Best Student Film Award at the Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival 2021. Her previous short films include Marionette (2012), Elpiniki Plays the Accordion (2016), and News 23/06/2016 - Zeit Der Unruhe (Orona Award and Panavision Award Special Nominal Mention at Nest 2017). Her current project, The Volcano Lover, was granted Wild Card funding by the Swedish Film Institute in 2020. Elsa lives and works in Berlin.
