Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Francy Fabritz (Dresden. Germany, 1985) is a film director and cinematographer. She studied Cultural Sciences, Aesthetics & Applied Arts at the University of Hildesheim followed by Cinematography at the DFFB - German Film and Television Academy Berlin. During her studies at Hildesheim she lived for a year in San Francisco and worked in the fields of theatre and documentary film. Since attending the DFFB, she focusses on fiction film. Her latest works as a director are the short films Etage X (2016) and Revolvo (2019). Both had their German premiere at Hof International Film Festival and were selected for the Cannes section, Short Tiger Next Generation-German Films. Etage X celebrated its world premiere at Locarno Film Festival followed by the International Film Students Meeting in San Sebastian where it won the Panavision Award for Best Short Film. Since then, the film has shown at more than 120 film festivals worldwide and has received several awards. The short film Revolvo has just started touring the festival circuit. With the director Eline Gehring and the producer Sara Fazilat she shot her first feature film as a cinematographer, Nico (2020), currently in post-production. She is now working on her first feature, which is also her graduation film.
