Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
For the second year running Tabakalera will be hosting the International Film Students Meeting, which will become a kind of giant film school housing the various activities that will be taking place during the meeting which range from screening the short films that students have made to masterclasses given by the French filmmakers Bertrand Bonello and Jean-Gabriel Périot and the Russian director Ivan I. Tverdovsky.
A jury of students from the participating schools chaired by the Portuguese director João Pedro Rodrigues will be deciding on the Panavision award while their own films will be assessed by a jury of students from Basque schools who will be selecting the Orona award for the most innovative film screened at the Meeting.
