Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
After studying cinema, communication and ethnology at University, Corinne Castel then entered the world of contemporary art, specialising in the production of films and installations. Deeply engaged in the singularity of the creative process, she has been involved in artistic commissions for the Pompidou Center since 1993 and has worked in production with Anna Sanders Films since 1999, working with the likes of Stan Douglas, Mona Hatoum, Douglas Gordon, Mike Kelley, Johan Grimonprez, Pierre Huyghe, Gerard Byrne, Jordi Colomer, Thierry Kuntzel, Chris Marker, Ugo Rondinone... A strong promoter of emerging artists, she produced the first films from Virgil Vernier, Mati Diop, Mohamed Bourouissa, Maïder Fortune... She has been working with her own production company since 2012, encouraging and promoting an hybrid genre between art and cinema.
