Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Julie Bergeron was born in Montreal, Canada. She was received at the Quebec Bar Association in 1989. She practised commercial litigation and international financing in important Montreal law firms, before immigrating to France where she was Deputy Manager at the European Office of Telefilm Canada in Paris until 2001.
With her company Vision-in-Motion, founded in 2001, she specialised in creating professional events for the film industry. She notably produced the Rencontres de Coproduction Francophone in Paris (2004-2015) and Frontières International Genre Film Market at BIFFF (2013-2016).
She is currently Head of Industry Programs at the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, including the Producers Network, the Producers Workshop, the Doc Corner and the NEXT Pavilion. She is also Manager, International Projects, at Ventana Sur, the Latin American Film Market co-organised by the Marché du Film and INCAA.
She has co-produced Beckett’s Prisoners (2005) by Michka Saäl – a co-production with Arte France – ADR Productions – Quatre par Quatre Films – Office national du film du Canada and was associate producer on the film Regular or Super – Views on Mies van der Rohe (2004) by Joseph Hillel and Patrick Demers.
She regularly participates to festivals and markets around the world.
