Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
María Dolores Meijomín (Lalín-Pontevedra, 1970) has been going about her professional activity since 1994 in different departments of the Government of Galicia. Her ties to the audiovisual sphere, through the Administration, began in 2005 when the Galician Audiovisual Consortium was transferred to the Secretariat General for Communication at which she was employed. From 2010 to 2012 she worked directly for the institution, launching the Galician plan of audiovisual internationalisation in European and Latin American markets and festivals by means of the Films from Galicia brand, continuing her work from the Galician Cultural Industries Agency, AGADIC, when the Consortium ceased to exist.
In July 2013 she was named Coordinator of Audiovisual Policy at AGADIC, the department that unifies the competences of the Autonomous Administration in this field and from which the different kinds of public aid in the audiovisual sector are promoted (talent promotion, project development and production, promotion and commercialisation of audiovisual work, organisation of Galician film festivals). During these two years, programmes were launched (running in the municipal theatre network, Cinemas de Galicia) on subjects including training for professionals (Galicia ProFilme) and promoting the adaptation to audiovisual of Galician literary works (Firma e Filme), while work continued to consolidate actions focussed on promotion and participation of the Galician audiovisual sector in the different international forums and markets.
