Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Desirée de Fez (Barcelona, 1977) is a critic with Fotogramas, El Confidencial and Rockdelux, a contributor to La Finestra Indiscreta on Catalunya Ràdio, and coordinator and presenter of the Página 2 programme (TVE’s channel 2) film section. Member of the Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya-Sitges team and the curator of Cine Low Cost, an independent film festival held in Barcelona since 2012, she teaches at the Estudio de Cine film school.
She has written the books Películas clave del cine de terror moderno (2007) and Lo imposible (2012), about J.A. Bayona’s film, The Impossible. She has also participated in numerous anthology books, such as: Jim Jarmusch. Itinerarios al vacío (2003), Sam Raimi: De la transgresión al neoclasicismo (2004), Abel Ferrara. Adicción, acción y redención (2005) Barbet Schroeder. Itinerarios y dilemas (2006), American Gothic. Her more recent works are the coordination with Ángel Sala of Neoculto (2012) and Takashi Miike: La provocación que llegó de Oriente (2013), and writing, fifty-fifty with Jordi Sánchez-Navarro, Pantalla rasgada: Quince conversaciones con cineastas y escritores sobre sueños y cine.
