Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Bruno Bettati Salvo is a Bachelor in Philosophy. As managing partner of Jirafa Films, the production company based in Valdivia (Chile), he has produced the feature films El asesino entre nosotros (2006); Ciudad de papel (2007); El cielo, la tierra y la lluvia (The Sky, the Earth and the Rain, 2008); Ilusiones ópticas (Optical Illusions, 2009), selected by the San Sebastian Festival for Films in Progress and later screened in the Horizontes Latinos section; Huacho (2009), which also participated in the Horizontes Latinos section of the San Sebastian Festival; Manuel de Ribera (2010); Bonsái (2011), similarly a participant in Films in Progress and Horizontes Latinos, also screened at Un Certain Regard in Cannes; Miguel San Miguel (2012); Il futuro (2013) and El verano de los peces voladores (The Summer of Flying Fish, 2013), Films in Progress 23 Award (Toulouse). He was also the associate producer of Sexo con amor (2004) and Gatos viejos (2010).
He is member IPA1 2009 of the European producers’ network, ACE-Producers, and member 2011 of the EURODOC documentary producers’ network.
Since 2010 he has been the Director of the Valdivia International Film Festival (FICValdivia).
Prior to this he held other positions: Chairman of the Asociación de Productores de Cine y TV de Chile a.g. APCT (2009-2012), Chairman of the Centro Cultural de Promoción Cinematográfica de Valdivia (2003-2006), the institution responsible for producing the Valdivia International Festival since 2007, and Chairman of Valdivia Film S.A. (2001-2006), an associative project that contributes to establishing a southern audiovisual centre.
From 2002 to 2009 he trained audiovisual producers in 13 regions of Chile. He was guest exhibitor at the EAVE network (Europa) and at the TyPA workshop (Argentina).
He was a technician on the feature films Gringuito (1997), Last Call (1998), Coronación (1999), Negocio redondo (2000), 199 recetas para ser Feliz (2006), Muñeca (2007) and El brindis (2007).
