Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Six films that are being shown for the first time are competing for the Zinemira Serbitzu Prize: Mariposas en el hierro by Bertha Gaztelmundu; Mur-Mur by Juan Miguel Gutiérrez, Pura Vida by Pablo Iraburu and Migeltxo Molina; En un paisaje imaginario by Josu Venero, To say Goodbye by Matt Richards and Leku Hutsak, hitz beteak by Joxeanjel Arbelaitz. This year the Basque films screened in any of the other sections of the Festival are also competing for this prize worth 20,000 Euros, and the bertsolari Andoni Egaña, the writer Katixa Agirre and the
director Maru Solares will be the jury that will be awarding the prize.
