Madrid, 1978. Director of Culture at the La Casa Encendida, a Caja Madrid Social and Community Project. Holds a Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
From 1997 until 2001, she worked on the production team of numerous film shoots, outstanding among which are Ray Loriga’s La pistola de mi hermano; Julio Medem’s Lucía y el sexo (Sex and Lucía); and Daniel Calparsoro’s Guerreros. In 2002, she joined the team of the recently founded culture centre, La Casa Encendida, to launch the audiovisual department she coordinated between 2002 and 2009. In 2009 Casani became coordinator of the Culture branch of La Casa Encendida, a lively open centre supporting young creators in developing their initiatives with a cultural programme offering performing arts, film, exhibitions and other expressions of contemporary creation.
Director of Culture since 2010 with GECESA, the company responsible for managing the different Caja Madrid Social and Community Project culture centres in Spain, among which are La Casa Encendida in Madrid and the Espai Cultural in Barcelona.
