The documentary Nostalgia de la Luz by Patricio Guzmán is being screened in Horizontes Latinos. It is set in the Atacama Desert in the North of Chile where there is an observatory where astronomers are looking for life on other planets while a group of women are looking for their relatives who disappeared during the Pinochet dictatorship in an old mining camp that used to be a concentration camp. The archaeologists show the women how to search for bodies in the desert. “They say that the desert is the door to the past”
