Le quattro volte, a documentary by Michelangelo Frammartino, takes the audience on a trip to Calabria to discover the cycles of life and nature. In order to convey the essence of the place, the director focuses on the life of the shepherds in the area. Frammartino stressed that this was a film that demanded something from its audience: “I think that this is a film that manages to engage with the audience but at the same time it does require some work. In Italy, for example, they make very visual films, but this one is different.”The film has been well received at festivals and Frammartino says that it is also an honour to have it screened here.
