The Victoria Eugenia Theatre Club celebrates its second year as host of the Zabaltegi informal gettogethers. Structured as a TV programme, this event is presented by journalist Juan Zavala, who has many years of experience working in radio programmes about cinema. Zavala briefly interviews each of the members of the films invited to participate in this daily event at 2pm. The contributions, accompanied by live piano music played by Juantxo Zeberio, are interspersed with relevant clips from the films that the guests are presenting. Each session is broadcast live by Telefestival.
After the presentation, the filmmakers taking part in the Zabaltegi section have the chance to mingle with the media and accredited professionals in a relaxed atmosphere to talk about their work over some haute cuisine pintxos and a drink. This platform is the perfect context to network and exchange opinions, as well as business cards.
