Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Born in Tunisia in 1948, of French nationality, Christian Viviani is a film critic and historian, and teaches at the Sorbonne University.
He has written a number of publications, including Ernst Lubitsch (in collaboration with N. T. Binh), winner of the French syndicate of film critics' prize for the best book about cinema in 1991.
In October 2000 he will publish, together with Michel Cieutat, the book entitled: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, regards croisés.
Since 1995, he has been the co-ordinator of the French specialised review, Positif, with which he has been collaborating since 1972.
