Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Steven Ricci is Head of Research and Study for the UCLA Film and Television Archive and is responsible for all of its educational activities including the Moving Image Archive Studies Program. As coordinator of the Archive's New Technologies initiatives, he has also produced and authored three CD-ROMs: Executive Order 9066: The Incarceration of Japanese Americans During World War II, Historic Hollywood and Defining America: Images in Motion from 1929 to 1931.
Ricci received his doctorate in film studies from UCLA in 1996 where he occasionally teaches courses on film archiving and the use of computer technologies for media study.
He has worked extensively with festivals and conferences in Europe and is currently Treasurer of the International Federation of Film Archives.
