In the desolate Germany of the immediate postwar period, four men (American, English, Russian and French) come together by accident on the Berlin Express and join forces to save a German scientist threatened by a group of Nazis. One of the four men is a traitor, but the Allies win out just before the falling of the Iron Curtain which divides Western Europe into two hostile camps, only one now supported by its former Eastern allies.
