Press, disgusted with his bride-to-be Julie who makes a fool of herself the night of their betrothal is to be officially announced, breaks his engagement and goes to Philadelphia to work. He is ready to return and marry her when she asks his forgiveness, but she does not. Three years later Julie hears that Press is returning to New Orleans and anticipating that he will now marry her plans a homecoming party. Press arrives with his wife.
