It tells the story of the famous ballet dancer elena Kniázena, as she made her way through the ballet world, through her doubts and disappointments and her search for new horizons, new inspirations.
Elena Kniázeva works on her new role, Margarita, in the modernist ballet "The Teacher and Margarita" based on the well-known novel of Mijail Bulgarov. Her husband,a famous law expert and her old friend, stage director Nóvikov, believe that at her age (she will soon be 50), she should find the courage to say no to this new role.
