A man, at the limit of his strength, walks in the middle of the Texas desert. A doctor helps him, but the man remains silent. Written on a ticket, the doctor found the address of a brother of this unfortunate man. Walter, the brother, will take Travis to Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife, Anne, and Travis's son, Hunter. Here he will have to regain the trust that his son has lost in him. Accompanied by Hunter, the two will leave Los Angeles in search of their wife and mother, Jane.
