Les nuits de la pleine lune / Full Moon in Paris

Éric Rohmer
France
Synopsis

Louise has always preferred to break off a relationship on her own initiative. As she says, she can't stand it when she "loves him too much". However, she can't stand living without love, since she has never been able to live alone. Louise defends herself against feelings unique to her. She wants to preserve a certain independence so that she can love and desire the other more strongly. The other is Rémi, the man she lives with. They love each other, but each one in her own way. Her rhythm of life is different: Louisa likes to go out at night and gets up late; and Remí, quite the opposite. Louise has found in Octave an attentive accomplice who is in love with her to accompany her at night. Louise loves her seduction, plays with her. She will succumb to Bastian's charm, the space of a moment. She gets a lot from the men around her. She is always in search of her own pleasure until she forgets what is important to her. What if the others and her partner get tired of waiting and are no longer as accessible? Louise is willing to take this risk.
