Manolo Falceto, 33 years old, lives a totally idle life at his parents. One day he meets Mariano Garrido, an old schoolmate, whom he hasn't seen for 20 years. Mariano is the author, under the pseudonym of Mac Guffin, of a thriller which is a bestseller in the States. Some odd events make Manolo and a friend os his, a journalist, suspect it is an autobiographical novel. Yet a third man will bring Manolo back to reality.
