When Albert returns from the asylum finds out that his father has let the administration of the farm to his cousin Hans. Albert abandons the home, settles in a derelict house and looks for love and friendship outside of his family circle. But his stuttering and his previous stay in the asylum turn him into the target of all jokes of the locals, who treat him as the village fool. Albert looks for confort in booze and in animals company. Soon his excentricities will spread the fear...
