Simplicio is the story of an old fisherman who won them all to the sea and to the people, and who wanted to immortalize himself in a kid, played by people who had never before been in front of a movie camera. The old Simplicio is his youth he owned a ship that was the envy of the rest of the town in which he lived, but the envy was transformed into mockery when a great storm destroyed the ship against the rocks and the unfortunate fisherman had to make a living until the end of his days fishing in a wooden boat. Elder has already rescued a two-year-old boy who was crying in a boat adrift. From then until the death of the old fisherman, both became inseparable.
