A voyeuristic deaf-mute lives isolated in his forest house, dedicated to painting and observing people with his glasses. One day a young couple arrives in the forest and before the curious look of the solitary, they start building their house. He follows their romance, their anger, the arrival of an older couple, a photographer, a marriage and their children. The loner is destined to live always with his world of shadows and his outdated mechanical devices.
