Defeated and almost without troops, the Villista colonel Zeta arrives at a town controlled by the Carrancistas. Although they are allies, Zeta imprisons and orders Colonel Zúñiga and several of his men to take control of the town. Among the dead is the lover of "La Cucaracha", a resolute camp follower who captains a group of armed women. To the combats between the troops the confrontations between Zeta and "La Cucaracha" and the appearance of Isabel, a bourgeois woman forced to join the group of revolutionaries, are added.
