The VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum is organised by the San Sebastian Festival.

The public limited company, FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DE DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIÁN S.A. is made up in equal parts of the San Sebastian City Council, the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport, and its chairmanship is held by the Mayor of San Sebastian. The San Sebastian Festival organisation is headed by its Director, José Luis Rebordinos.

The San Sebastian Festival is accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) in the “Competitive non-specialised film festivals” category.

ARTICLE 1

The San Sebastian Festival seeks to make a positive contribution to developing culture and the film industry.

ARTICLE 2

The 67th San Sebastian Festival will take place from 20-28 September 2019 in San Sebastian. The VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum will take place from 22-25 September 2019.

ARTICLE 3

All projects presented at the seventh edition of the Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum will be chosen by its Selection Committee, headed by the Festival Director and based on the reports drawn up by three international experts.

ARTICLE 4

The VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum Best Project Award carrying EUR 10,000 gross, will be handed over either as a bank cheque or as an international cheque (always paid in euros) to the majority producer of the winning project.

ARTICLE 5

The objective of the VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum Best Project Award is to contribute to the development of the film culture and industry in Europe and Latin America.

ARTICLE 6

The VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum Best Project Award is open to competition by all projects selected for the event, with the exception of those presented in the framework of special collaborations.

ARTICLE 7

The VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum Best Project Award will be decided by a jury constituted for the purpose and chosen by the San Sebastian Festival management.

ARTICLE 8

The VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum Best Project Award cannot be declared void or be conferred on more than one film.

ARTICLE 9

The VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum Best Project Award winner will be announced on 25 September 2019.

ARTICLE 10

Once production of the winning project has been completed, it must include the VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum Best Project Award logo in its credits. The logo is available in several languages on the official Festival website.

ARTICLE 11

All doubts arising from the interpretation of these rules and regulations will be solved by the management of the San Sebastian Festival.

ARTICLE 12

In the event of discrepancy in the interpretation of these rules and regulations, the Spanish version will apply.
