A specific jury grants the Irizar Basque Film Award to the best basque film presented in world premiere in any section of the Festival.
The Irizar Basque Film Award is open to all feature films with at least 20% Basque production released worldwide as part of the San Sebastian Festival’s global programme and/or those mainly spoken in the Basque language and/or those set in or focused on Basque communities.
The prize carries €20,000, gross, for the producer or producers of the winning film.
