In an Anatolian town, a relentless fire engulfs a chemical factory, impacting Esma's family. Esma (11), a diligent student, lives with her father Mehmet, grandmother, and twin brothers, Deniz and Bariş. After losing his job, Mehmet sells cheese to make ends meet. With Eyüp (14) suffering from nosebleeds and fainting spells, Esma shoulders many responsibilities. As the fire's effects worsen, their animals fall sick and die, leading to financial ruin. Mehmet, unable to replace their old truck, decides Esma must quit school to care for the family. Heartbroken Esma injures herself. Mehmet's truck fails as he tries to rush her to help.
A house in the central district of Tbilisi, 90s. A family of 4 generations live there together. Once there were three sons. Now only two remain, Mikha and Levan. Irakli, the eldest son has died under unknown circumstances. Mikha is an activist who participates in all ongoing social and political events. Levan has gone to Germany to study. Levan and his girlfriend appear on a surprise visit home. He tries to find out how his older brother died. Everyone he asks gives him a different story. All of these versions are possible during these difficult times... Levan never discovers the truth.
