The San Sebastián Festival has sold 31,470 tickets corresponding to sessions on the first three days of the Festival, on the first day of sale to the public (until 7:00 p.m). This figure represents an increase of 8.32% compared to the same day last year.
The best-selling ticket sessions correspond to films such as: Los destellos / The Glimmers and Soy Nevenka / I Am Nevenka in the Official Section; Ainda estou aqui / I’m Still Here and All We Imagine As Light in Perlak; La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés and Stars and the Moon in the New Directors section, and When clouds Hide the Shadows and Querido Trópico / Beloved Tropic in Horizontes Latinos.
Advance ticket sales have been carried out both online and in person at the Zinemaldi Plaza (Kursaal) box office. Today it was possible to buy tickets for the first three days of the Festival (Friday the 20th, Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd). Tomorrow, Monday the 16th, at 9:00 a.m., the sale of tickets for Monday the 23rd, Tuesday the 24th and Wednesday the 25th will begin. On Tuesday, the 17th, tickets for the sessions on Thursday the 26th, Friday the 27th and Saturday 28 will be available.
The director of the San Sebastián Festival, José Luis Rebordinos, has expressed his gratitude to citizens for the large number of tickets sold on the first day, a very “high figure that is difficult to surpass and even maintain in the future”. The absence of notable incidents in online sales has also been congratulated. “There have been moments when it has worked slowly because there were thousands of people buying at the same time, but the system has not crashed at any time,” highlighted Rebordinos, who thanked the spectators for their patience and wished them to continue shopping without problems in the next few days.
