Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Izaskun Rodríguez (Lesaka) took her first steps at ETB whilst pursuing her Degree in Journalism and studying Advertising. From 1998 to 2018 she worked in programmes dedicated to the news, cuisine, culture and fiction, as a coordinator, scriptwriter, in production, editing and on screen. She also directed shows including Objetivo Euskadi, 360º, La decisión de Escocia, Dancing Laguardia and 3Txulo.
The magazines Bertatik Bertara and Lo Que Faltaba gave her the opportunity to talk about the cinema. In 2003 she travelled to Los Angeles with the presenter Iñaki López to report on the Academy Awards and in 2007 covered the NYC Basque Film Festival.
From 2019 to 2023 she lectured at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication at the University of the Basque Country. She was part of an international project analysing the safety conditions of the Spanish journalists covering international conflicts (JOSAFCON).
She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on how the cinema has portrayed women war correspondents in the course of its history.
