Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Kristina Zorita Arratibel (San Sebastian) is a journalist with ties to the EiTB news services dating back more than 30 years. For the last 11 years she has been maintaining the Pantaila Handian film blog, the window for movies in Basque on eitb.eus. She has covered the Cannes, Berlin, Venice, London, Seville and Valladolid festivals.
Holding a Master’s Degree in Screenwriting from the London Film School, she has written and directed the short film Pil Pil (2019, selected for the Spanish Film Festival in Edinburgh, ZINEBI, and the Errenteria and Eibar festivals.
Her first short film as a director, Samina (2015), competed at the Les Toutes Premières Fois de Grasse Festival (France) and at Zinebilera in Lekeitio. She has also produced Izaskun Arandia’s short film Night Shift (2017). She has been a member of the Hendaia Film Festival selection committee and has served on the jury of said festival and of the Festival du Cinéma Espagnol in Nantes. She is a member of AICE (Association of Cinematographic Informers) and has served on the Feroz Awards jury almost since the beginning, having promoted creation of the Arrebato No Ficción Award precisely given by Feroz. She is the co-founder and co-president of (H) emen, the Basque association of professional women in audiovisual media and the performing arts.
