Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Aitor Arregi (Oñati, Gipuzkoa. 1977) is a member of the production company Moriarti Produkzioak, founded in 2001 with another 4 partners. The development of his whole career has always been linked to this company, in which he has carried out different functions, from screenplay writing to directing and producing.
In 2007 he co-wrote and co-directed with Jose Mari Goenaga Lucio, nominated for the Best Documentary Goya. In 2013 he participated in the screenplay and production of Loreak (Flowers, Jon Garaño, Jose Mari Goenaga), which competed in the Official Selection of San Sebastian Festival, received the Goya nominations for Best Film and Best Original Screenplay and was the Spanish representative in the race for the Oscars. In 2017 he co-wrote and co-directed with Jon Garaño Handia, Special Jury Prize and Irizar Award at the San Sebastian Festival and winner of 10 Goya awards. In 2019 he co-directed with Garaño and Goenaga La trinchera infinita (The Endless Trench), winner of the Silver Shell for Best Director, the Jury Prize for Best Screenplay and the FIPRESCI Prize in San Sebastian, as well as the Forqué Award for Best Film and two Goyas. It was also the Spanish candidate for the Academy Awards.
