Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
The screenwriter, playwright, producer and director Aaron Sorkin gave an online masterclass at the 68th San Sebastian Festival. He made his screenwriting debut with the adaptation of his own play A Few Good Men (1992), a success that was followed by The Social Network (2010), Moneyball (2012) and Steve Jobs (2015). For television, Sorkin created and produced The West Wing (1999-2006) and The Newsroom (2012-2014). His talk in San Sebastian coincided with the Netflix premiere of his last film, The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020).
