Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Twelve-year-old Nino is attacked for being homosexual. To protect him, his father accepts a job as a foreman on a ranch in a mountainous area, and takes the whole family with him. The siestas are long. Nino feels guilty for everything that's happened and his upcoming confirmation worries him. In this rural atmosphere, religious and superstitious, Nino discovers the legend of the Almamula, a creature that lives in the hills and carries off those who practice an impure sexual act. Nino feels like easy prey for the beast and will do everything he can not to attract it and leave with it. Not knowing what’s hidden in the hills is worse than anything any legend has to say.
