Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Pello Gutiérrez Peñalba (San Sebastian, 1979) is a producer and filmmaker. In 2007 he co-founded, with David Aguilar, Juanmi Gutiérrez and Iñaki Sagastume the creative collective Zazpi T’erdi, dedicated to non-fiction, experimentation, expanded cinema and audiovisual creation for plays.
Zazpi T’erdi has directed and produced films including Nao Yik (2011, Zinemira), Oírse (The Sound Inside, 2013, Zinemira), Abuztua (2013), Mara mara (2016, Zinemira), Converso (2017, Zinemira), Ozpinaren sindromea (The Vinegar Syndrome, 2017), Zain (2018, Zinemira - Kimuak) and La vía flotante (The Floating Track, 2019).
It has also produced works on stage, combining performing arts and audiovisual production as a video-creator in works such as Biutz (Rouge Elea company), Duo (Anakrusa company) and Heriotza bikoitza (Ze Onda theatre group).
Apart from the above, Zazpi T’erdi teaches audiovisuals, giving courses on film language and audiovisual technique in collaboration with numerous associations and organisations including Cinema en curs, Tabakalera International Centre for Contemporary Culture, San Sebastian City Council, Donostia Kultura, SOS Arrazakeria, Gehitu and Mugen Gainetik.
