Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Bet Rourich is a director of photography with more than ten years’ experience in the sector. Trained at the ESCAC, she debuted with the film Bolboreta Mariposa papallona (2007), by Pablo García, selected for the Karlovy Vary Festival. Her filmography includes notable titles such as Adult Life Skills (2016), by Rachel Tunnard, Nora Ephron Award at Tribeca; Blog (2010), by Elena Trapé, presented in Zabaltegi at San Sebastian, where she received a Special Mention from the RTVE Otra Mirada Award; or El camí més llarg per tornar a casa (2014), by Sergi Pérez, Gaudi Award for Best Film. Her films have also participated in festivals such as Moscow, Toronto, South by Southwest, BFI London or Edinburgh. She has worked internationally not only in Spain but also in England and Denmark. She is the founder, with another 20 professionals, of the Directoras de Fotografía collective (www.directorasdefotografia.com), presented for the first time at this Festival and which was born with the intention of lending visibility and importance to the work of the female directors of photography who work in Spain (currently 2% of the sector), helping to make the industry more inclusive, diverse and egalitarian.
