Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
A highly diverse group of film students from all over the world will once again be getting together in San Sebastian for the 16th International Film Students Meeting at Tabakalera. As in previous years students will be screening their own work as well as attending master classes given by renowned filmmakers such as Todd Haynes, Christine Vachon, Raymond Depardon, Claudine Nougaret, Nobihiro Suwa and Marine Francen, all of whom will also be taking part in the various sections of this year’s Festival.
A jury made up of the students chaired by the Chilean director José Luis Torres Leiva will be deciding on the Panavision award, while their own films will be assessed by a jury of students from Basque film schools in order to select the Orona award for the most innovative film.
