Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
The Kursaal was once again the setting last night for the Donostia Award ceremony, and on this occasion it was the Argentinian actor, Ricardo Darín who received the award from the actresses Elena Anaya and Dolores Fonzi. Darín said that he’s always felt really at home in San Sebastián ever since his first visit here and he recalled how he had had the honour of presenting the same award to Dustin Hoffman a couple of years ago. On these occasions he thought that you always feel obliged to look back on the road you have already travelled and he stressed how nothing that he achieved would have been possible without all the professional colleagues he had worked with along the way. He wanted to share the award with all of them because they really deserved it, and as the first Argentinian actor to receive the award, he also wanted to share it with not just his own country but with all South America.
