The pianist and musician Joserra Senperena finished his higher classical piano studies at San Sebastián’s Conservatory before leaving for Barcelona to study jazz.
He has published nine records with his name, in styles ranging from jazz and blues to chamber music, with piano solos in between. In some of his works he has the collaboration of artists such as Harkaitz Cano, Patxi Zubizarreta, José Luis Zumeta, Dora Salazar, Joxe Inazio Ansorena or Ángela Molina.
In recent years he has started to compose soundtracks. In this field, his latest works are Nur eta herensugearen tenplua (Nur and the Temple of the Dragon, 2017) by Juanba Berasategi, Sipo phantasma (2016) by Koldo Almandoz, La ballena real (2016) by Julio Medem or Gure sor lekuaren bila (2015) by Josu Martínez.
In June of this year he presented his CD entitled Adiós a la bohemia, a version for piano and voice of the opera by Pablo Sorozábal and Pío Baroja, made together with Rafael Berrio.
At this edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival we will have the opportunity to listen to the Suite from the soundtrack of Nur eta herensugearen tenplua, at the concert given by the Basque National Orchestra in the Velodrome.
