Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Born in Moscow, the film producer Nadia Turincev moved to Paris as a child. She began watching films when she was 12, when she fell in love with Andrei Koncholovsky, who had
been a friend of her mother’s since they were teenagers. He used to recommend films to her
that he thought were essential, like Kurosawa’s. When she was 16 she worked on the set of
Dark Eyes by Konchalovsky’s brother, Nikita Mikhalkov, making sandwiches for Marcello Mastroianni. She found this really tiring but she also enjoyed feeling part of a team that was
struggling to get something off the ground.
After working in various sectors of the film industry, she became a producer as she thinks this is the most complete process in filmmaking. She feels she has the ability to look at each
version of a script with fresh eyes and what she most likes about her job is the teamwork.
