Pablo Álvarez (Santiago, Chile, 1985) is an audiovisual director, graduate from the ARCOS Professional Institute with a Minor in Communication and Culture. He also has a Degree in Documentary Film from the Academy of Christian Humanism University (UAHC). He has directed numerous short films invited to participate in different international festivals. In 2014 he directed the fictional short film Los resentidos, which received a honorific mention at the SANFIC 10, Best Short Film Award at BioBioCine 2015, and was selected to participate in the São Paulo Short Film Festival - Kinoforum, Brussels Short Film Festival, FICUNAM and the San Sebastian Film Festival. In 2015, he returned to the latter with a developing project, El extraño, selected as part of the Ikusmira Berriak residencies programme.
