Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Jose Mari Goenaga (Ordizia, Gipuzkoa, 1976), studied film at Sarobe, after completing his business studies in San Sebastian. In 2001 he co-founded the production company, Moriarti. In addition to directing short films (including the multi-award-winning Tercero B, Sintonía and Lagun Mina, which bagged a total of more than 150 awards), he co-wrote and co-directed the animated feature film Supertramps (nominated for the Best Animated Film Goya in 2004), the full-length documentary Lucio (premiered at the San Sebastian International Film Festival and Goya nominee for Best Documentary Film in 2007), and two feature films co-directed with Jon Garaño: 80 egunean (In 80 Days), which participated in more than 100 international festivals, including Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian (where it won the San Sebastian Film Commission Award and the Sebastiane Award for Best Film on the LGTB collective), Montreal and Cairo, landing more than 30 awards on the way; the next film made by both directors, Loreak, was released in the official selection of the San Sebastian International Film Festival and earned Goya-nominations for Best Film and Sound Track.
