A chronicle of the conspiracy to kill Prim told in historical thriller mode. On 27 December 1870, the sedan in which Prim, President of the Council of Ministers, is making its way from the Courts to his home when it is intercepted in the Calle del Turco by another two carriages. A dozen or so men with guns and blunderbusses shoot the general. Prim makes it home, badly wounded, and is officially declared dead seventy-two hours later.
