Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).

The 12th International Film Students Meeting is this year bringing together fourteen film schools from all over the world to show the work their students have produced. The selected shorts will be screened to the public, guests and professionals on the 26th and 27th at the Sala Kutxa in the Calle Andia.
An international jury chaired by the Mexican director Amat Escalante and made up of students from the schools taking part will choose the films to be presented with the most important awards (the Panavision and Freak Agency Awards) as well as the three directors who will be able to take part in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival next year.
Students will also be given a master class by Todd Haynes, the chairman of the Official Jury at the Festival this year.
