Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Founder and director since 2003 of the Morelia International Film Festival (Mexico), an event with official connections to the Critics’ Week at Cannes Film Festival.
She studied English Literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) Faculty of Philosophy and Literature following a stint at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. Having taken her first film steps as a journalist in publications like El Economista, Viceversa, Somos, Cine Premiere and El Financiero, she has been hosting and writing film programmes for Televisa and Canal 11 since 1994.
She has been organising film festivals since 1994, when she began co-directing the Mexican Short Film Festival at the Mexican National Film Archive. Daniela has been a member of several juries including the Rockefeller Foundation, the Fulbright García-Robles Scholarships and the J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding; and at festivals like Cannes (Un certain regard, 2011), Sundance, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), the San Francisco International Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
